Marianne and Sigvard Bernadotte Arts Fund. The fund was created in 1982 to mark Prince Sigvard Bernadotte’s seventy-fifth birthday. Grants are awarded each year to Young scholars in Music, Theatre, design and art. The scholarships provide Young artists with the opportunity to develop their talents at an early stage in their careers, many of whom have later become very successful. The scholarship board comprises prominent representatives from the World of the arts and the Award ceremony is seen as an important high-profile event. The ceremony offers the artists a platform and an oppportunity to present themselves to a wide audience. Over the years, the Foundation has awarded grants to over 150 artists.
