Youth of Kazakhstan in Sweden
Föreningen har till ändamål att genom utbyte av kunskap och erfarenhet bland ungdomar/studenter mellan Sverige och Kazakstan bidrar till utvecklingen av bilaterala relationer mellan länder. Musiken spelades på Dombra eller Dombura, traditionellt Musik instrument i Kazakhstan, en lång populär luta. Vernissagen gästades av Kazakhstan’s ambassadör i Sverige Dr. Dastan Yeleukenov, och det serverades speciella smårätter ifrån Kazakhstan.
The aim of the association is, through the exchange of knowledge and experience among young people / students of Sweden and Kazakhstan, to contribute to the development of bilateral relations between two countries. Music performed on Dombra or Dombura, traditional Musical instrument in Kazakhstan, a long-necked popular lute. The launch was hosted by Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Sweden Dr. Dastan Yeleukenov, and special snacks from Kazakhstan were served.
Kazakhstan is a country with a unique culture and a rich past. It is a direct historical successor of state formations established by nomads of the Great steppe. Accordingly, Kazakhstan is consistently implementing the main geopolitical mission – assistance in integration and formation of a common space of peace and creativeness in Eurasia. Currently representatives of 130 ethnic groups live in the country.
A large part of the country’s territory consists of deserts – 44% and semi-deserts – 14%. Steppes cover 26% of Kazakhstan’s territory, forests – 5,5%. There are 8,5 thousand rivers In Kazakhstan. The Northeastern part of the Caspian sea’s water area is situated within the country’s territory. The Aral sea is shared between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. There are 48 000 big and small lakes in Kazakhstan. The largest of them are Aral sea, Balkhash, Zaisan and Alakol.
Due to the remoteness from oceans the country has an extreme continental climate. The average temperature in January is around −19 °C in the north and −2 °C in the south, the average temperature in July is around +19 °C in the north and +28 °C in the south. Summer is hot and dry, winter is cold and snowy.
