Naim Josefi is a fashion brand based in Stockholm, Sweden. Since its debut collection in 2010, Naim Josefi has become a well-known Swedish brand in the fashion and media industry, locally and internationally. With an eye for fashion forward design and sophisticated tailoring, combined with high technology, he received several prestigious awards.
Naim Josefi grew up in a retailer’s family business. After working as a tailor at Bespoke studios, in theatre and at Swedish Couture designers, he studied fashion design at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm. While at Beckman’s, he started getting international attention for his work. In 2011, his innovative 3D printed shoes were nominated by the British Design Museum for the “Designer of the Year” award alongside Lanvin, Jil Sander and Comme Des Garçons, and were chosen by the Victoria and Albert Museum to be featured in an exhibition showcasing up and coming designers.
Naim Josefi was also the winner of the TV-show ‘Project Runway Sweden’ in 2012 and since then, was commissioned by several companies, such as Lindex, Nelly, Happy Socks, Swedish Steel and Ljungbergs Factory for innovative design collaborations.
Naim Josefi creates imaginary worlds with elegant, playful and innovative designs. His tailored design aesthetics combines sustainable materials through the intersection of art and technology.
The inspiration of the SS19 Collection was drawn from science and nature. The aesthetics tells a story about the journey of light through a prism and it reflects an explosive spectrum of colours just like when David Bowie found his light and his spirit radiated in a sphere of colours.
”I don’t know where I’m going from here but I promise it won’t be boring.” – David Bowie
