Morocco – Feast of the Throne 2019

Every year, the people of Morocco come together to celebrate the Feast of the Throne on the anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession to power. The aim of the ceremony is to bring the sovereign and his people closer together, promoting loyalty to the sacred causes of the Kingdom of Morocco.
It is an opportunity for Moroccans to thank the King and celebrate the ties which unite them. Fireworks, entertainment and parades are all part of celebrations, as befits an enthronement.

Each year, in coordination with the Kingdom’s diplomatic missions, several citizens representing the Moroccan community established abroad are invited to take part in the official festivities of the enthronement of King Mohammed VI and will have the opportunity to reaffirm, on their behalf and on the behalf of all the Moroccans of the world, their unfailing devotion to the Sovereign, according to a statement issued by the delegated ministry in charge of Moroccans residing abroad and the affairs of migration.

The Throne Festival, celebrated on July 30th of each year, is an occasion that illustrates the great attachment of the Moroccan people to the glorious Alaouite Throne, said the same source, adding that this beautiful opportunity has been a way of strengthening the ties that link Moroccans living abroad to their country of origin.
